4 steps to get a Saber certification
There are total 4 steps to get a saber certification. Now, we will introduce it step by step.
Step 1: Judge whether to do the Saber certification
First Clients offer production details and HS codes for the Saudi Arabia market.
Second: Enter the Saudi Saber platform to query. You can visit the website: https://saber.sa/.
According to the official website, we can know which products need PCOC certification and which need SCOC certification. For example, we export WEALTH DIE RELEASING AGENT(HS: 340399000000), and DIE CASTING MACHINE (HS code 845430000000), these two items need PCOC, and other items such as MELTING FURNACE (HS: 841710000002), INJECTION MOLD(HS: 848041000000) only need SCOC.
1. How to apply for PCOC certification
Importers register for a SABER platform ID.
Importers enter application information into the SABER platform.
Certificate of conformity for regulated products, pay the PCOC certificate fee.
Evaluate the certification documents and submit the approved documents to the SABER platform to issue the PCOC certificate online. The certificate is valid for 1 year.
The issuing agency receives the application and contacts the manufacturer/exporter to provide certification documents.
2. How to apply for SCOC certification
If imported products only need a Supplier Conformity Declaration
Importers submit SCOC applications to the SABER platform.
Auditing of regulated products.
Pay the SCOC certification fee.
The SABER platform issues the SCOC certificate online, and the certificate is only valid for the goods imported in that batch.
Step 2: Prepare the documents needed for Saber certification
What documents/materials are needed for Saber certification?
Application Form for Certificate of conformity for regulated products
SABER ID
Production information
Commercial invoice
business license
Step 3: Pay the Saber Certification Fees
Saber Certification Fees include two parts.
One part is that Saudi Arabia’s clients need to pay in Saudi currency, used mainly for product information registration fees, collected directly by the Saudi Saber system.
Another part is that Exporters need to pay RMB, used for Saber certificate fees and some service fees.
Step 4: Time for Saber certification
Normally it will need 7-10 working days, if top urgent, it needs 3-5 working days.
Haichen case for Saber Certification
Our Haichen company exports many machinery and spare parts to the Saudi Arabian market.
Last month Haichen exported WEALTH DIE RELEASING AGENT and MELTING FURNACE to the Saudi Arabian market.
The client offers clearance HS for wealth die releasing agent (HS: 340399000000), and melting furnace (HS: 841710000002).
According to the result from the website: https://saber.sa/, wealth die releasing agent (HS: 340399000000) needs PCOC certification.

PC of wealth die releasing agent is still on valid date, so this time we only need to offer SC certificate to client.
melting furnace (HS: 841710000002) needs SCOC certification

Notice
Unless it is extremely urgent, you must prepare the PC certificate before shipping, to avoid being in a dilemma after the goods arrive at the destination port, causing greater losses.
